Freedom Baptist Church began in 1998 in
Varnado, LA, under the pastorship of Ronney
Dale Seal. After Bro. Ronney graduated to
Heaven in 2001, Freedom called Bro. Pete
Bennett as pastor. It was under his leadership
that Freedom moved to neighboring Bogalusa
and assumed ownership of our present
building. Bro. Pete resigned in 2004.

Bro. James Lyle answered the call to pastor
Freedom in January 2005. He and his wife, Kelli,
have two daughters. Under Bro. James'
leadership, Freedom has begun expansion of our
present buildings, instituted a community
visitation program, and increased mission
offerings. Where will we go from here?
